JANUARY 30TH, 2018 NIKKI VILLAVICENCIO ANNOUNCES HER CANDIDACY FOR
MAPLEWOOD CITY COUNCIL
A
COMMUNITY LEADER THAT FIGHTS FOR HEALTHY FAMILIES, STRONG BUSINESSES AND
REGIONAL LEADERSHIP
(Maplewood,
MN) – Nikki Villavicencio is announcing her candidacy for Maplewood City
Council January 30th, 2018 at the Maplewood Mall at 1PM.
Nikki
is a mother of a school-aged child so she relates to young families balancing
work and home responsibilities. She
frequently uses public transportation. Seniors are an important part of her
community and as an advocate for people with disabilities, she has a deep
understanding of the issues they face. She strongly values active engagement in
the community. She currently chairs the
Maplewood Parks and Recreation Commission, a nine-member, volunteer advisory
board committed to providing cultural and recreational activities on an
equitable basis.
Nikki
Villavicencio has strong roots in her community. She has been endorsed by
Ramsey County Commissioner Jim McDonough and Labor Union, SEIU Minnesota!
“Everyone knows that Nikki will fight for what she believes in,
speak out for justice and respect her whole community. But if, like me, you see
her up close, you know that she always shows up to work. She puts in the time
and effort it takes, even when that work is frustrating, technical or unlikely
to get noticed. Because she combines a fighting spirit and an intense work
ethic, SEIU proudly endorses her for the Maplewood City Council.” -Phillip
Cryan, Executive Vice-President of SEIU Healthcare Minnesota
